DASH OF DACY PUMPKIN SPICE BLEND. . . HOMEMADE
Share
Pumpkin season feels like home to many of us. Warm kitchens, sweet spice in the air and comfort dishes that remind us how food connects us. Y’all know I make my living creating gourmet spice blends, but sometimes sharing is part of the legacy too. I don’t usually give blends away, but this one felt right to share. Consider it a little thank you for every table you’ve invited me into over the years.
This blend is layered with intention: cinnamon brings the hug and comfort, ginger adds brightness and a kick, nutmeg for depth, clove for boldness, allspice for harmony, black pepper for a surprising wake up lift and mace for balance + that old school depth.
It’s the same care I put into every blend I sell, but this one is yours to make at home. Here’s my gift to you, my Pumpkin Spice recipe:

(Recipe Yields just under ½ cup)
• 3 tablespoons Cinnamon
• 2 teaspoons Ginger
• 2 teaspoons Nutmeg, freshly grated
• 1 teaspoon Clove
• 2 teaspoons Allspice
• ⅛ – ¼ teaspoon Black Pepper (depending on your taste)
• 1 teaspoon Mace
Method
1. Measure out all ingredients.
2. Whisk together in a small bowl until fully combined. Sift through a fine mesh strainer if necessary.
3. Store in a airtight pouch or jar then store in a cool, dry place.
How to Use It
- Sprinkle into coffees, lattes or hot cocoa.
- Fold into pancake or waffle batter.
- Bake it into pumpkin bread, pound cake or cookies.
- Shake over roasted sweet potatoes or carrots for a savory meets sweet side dish.
